LOS ANGELES >> A 50-year-old man was critically injured Thursday when he was attacked by dogs in Lincoln Heights, police said.

The attack was reported about 5:20 p.m., according to Los Angeles police Officer Sal Ramirez.

Firefighters responded to the 2600 block of North Lincoln Park Avenue and took the man to a hospital, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The exact circumstances of the attack were not immediately available but it is believed that two dogs were involved, she said.
