COLTS NECK — Seen here is drone footage taken Thursday morning above a 22,000-square foot estate leveled by fire just hours earlier.
No one was injured, but firefighters from several surrounding towns were called in to contain the blaze. No other structures were damaged.
Built in 2002, the home, valued at $8 million in a recent real-estate listing, had been abandoned for a number of years and became a magnet for vandals and graffiti artists.
Officials have said the cause of the fire is suspicious.
