Two Democrat organizations from Hunterdon and Somerset counties will hold protests in Flemington and Somerville against President Trump’s travel ban.

The travel ban, which targets nations with largely Muslim populations, has been met with opposition and protests since it was put into place on Friday.

A Reuters poll released on Wednesday showed less than one-third of Americans believe the ban will make the United States safer.

Speakers include Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker (D-16th); Hunterdon Anti-Racism Coalition member Alexa Offenhauer; Alexi Velez of the ACLU-NJ, Emam Yaser Elmenshawy from the Islamic Center of Hunterdon County; Marie Corfield, vice president of the Hunterdon County Education Association; and Kevin Leach, senior class president of Hunterdon Central Regional High School.
