The number of New Yorkers who obtained health insurance coverage through ObamaCare for 2017 shot up 28 percent from a year ago — as President Trump looks to overhaul the program, officials announced Wednesday.

The New York State Health Department reported that 3.63 million people signed up for medical coverage through its Affordable Care Act Exchange (NY State of Health) — an increase of 800,000.

A year ago, there were 2,83 million.

The sign-up deadline was Tuesday — which was also the busiest day ever for New York’s ObamaCare website.

Officials said it registered nearly 3 million page views by more than 110,000 users.

In addition, ObamaCare staffers fielded more than 100,000 calls on the final day of open enrollment.

In the final two days, 45,807 people obtained coverage through the state ObamaCare Exchange.

About two-thirds of the 3.6 million of those enrolled — 2.42 million — qualified for Medicaid, the publicly funded health insurance program for the needy.
