Northwestern will go for a big win Wednesday night against Purdue while dealing with the losses of leading scorer Scottie Lindsey (illness) and Nathan Taphorn (injured ankle).

The No. 25 Wildcats, ranked in the Top 25 for the first time since the 2009-10 season, have won six straight Big Ten games. A seventh would tie a program record set in 1932-33.

Northwestern (18-4) is off to its best 22-game start in school history and is 4-1 on the road in conference play.

Lindsey is averaging 15.4 points and more than a steal per game. Taphorn has been valuable off the bench.

Vic Law (14 points per game) might have to pick up some offensive slack against the Boilermakers (17-5, 6-3), who are led by Caleb Swanigan (18.5 points per game).
