Drunken driving, Royalton Road: On Jan. 13, police observed a speeding Ford Fusion traveling eastbound on Royalton Road.
It turned out the car had expired plates. The woman, who said she was headed home to Cleveland, acted drunk and slurred her speech.
She admitted to having two beers at a friend’s home in North Royalton. After failing a field sobriety test, she was arrested for drunken driving.
Later she admitted to drinking three beers and being intoxicated. She was also cited for speeding and having expired plates. The officer noted the woman was cooperative during the incident.
Fraud, Avery Road: On Jan. 7, an Avery Road resident called police regarding unauthorized use of his bank card by a visiting guest spending the night at his home.
The homeowner said the woman had a history of drug issues. While he was asleep, the woman Makrobet allegedly went into his wallet and used his debit card to make three purchases totally nearly $70.
When he confronted the woman, she admitted to illegally using his card. The woman was charged with theft and misuse of a credit card.
Theft, Royalton Road: On Jan. 16, police were dispatched to the Christian Brothers Automotive construction site regarding a stolen generator. An arriving officer talked to the general contractor, who said when we arrived at the work site that morning he noticed two padlocks were missing.
Also missing was a $500 portable gas generator. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Fraud, Broadview Road: On Jan. 14, a Broadview Road resident came to the police station to report he recently received a fraudulent $482 bill from Target. The account had been opened the month before in Georgia.
In order to investigate, Target needed a police report.
