After 50 years of sports broadcasting, Brent Musburger has called his last game, and it was an exciting one.
The broadcasting legend called Kentucky’s 90-81 overtime victory over SEC rival Georgia on Tuesday night. Following the game, ESPN gave this on-air tribute to Musburger.

After the tribute was complete, the legendary Musburger signed off in his own inimitable way. Here it is:

Before the game, Kentucky and Georgia thanked Musburger for calling the action and sent the ESPN broadcaster into retirement with a few parting gifts.
The Bulldogs gave Musburger a framed copy of their 1989 spring game program while Calipari presented him with a framed white No. 50 jersey (for his years in the industry) to a standing ovation.
Musburger found himself embroiled in controversy last month after defending Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon, who was seen on video punching a woman in the face.
He now will be working at Vegas Stats & Information Network, a sports gambling network.
