Two young men and a 17-year-old are suspected of burglarizing a Fern Park home were arrested Monday thanks to a deputy’s “proactive” policing, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said.

Dylan Usma, 19, Ryan Aheran, 21, and a 17-year-old boy, all of Orlando, were arrested on charges of burglary of an unoccupied house, grand theft and criminal mischief.

About 12:15 p.m., a deputy patrolling the 100 block of Navel Drive in Seminole County noticed a “suspicious” red Honda CRV in front of a home with its door open, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The Honda’s driver noticed the patrol car and sped away. The deputy said he saw three men shut the front door of the home quickly and run from the back of the house.

The deputy chased the men, jumping over fences and tracking them down near a business, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Employees of the business helped direct the deputy to where the men were hiding.

All three men were taken into custody “without incident,” the news release said.

When deputies arrived and began to investigate the burglary, the homeowners returned and reported several possessions missing, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Several of the items were recovered.

Usma, Aheran and the 17-year-old were booked into the Seminole County Jail on $11,250 bonds each. Deputies are still seeking the driver of the CRV.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 407-665-6650 or Crimeline at 800-424-8477.
