A Washington woman who met a date from Craigslist at a motel on Tuesday didn’t make the best first impression.
After asking him repeatedly if he was a murderer, the 24-year-old woman pounced on the man with a pocket knife.
“Well, I’m a serial killer,” she said at the Rodeo Inn motel room in Lynwood, Washington.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, proceeded to stab her date several times as he struggled to escape, according to news station KOMO.
The 29-year-old man was eventually able to make a break and call police from Ultrabet the motel office. He was brought to Harborview Medical Center, where he is in satisfactory condition recovering from a punctured lung.
Police then found the suspect with a knife in her pocket at the parking lot, where she confessed that she planned to eat his heart.
She told officers that she prepared a written note to leave on his body that said she planned to kill again.
According to authorities, the woman replied “I’m a loon” when she was asked what happened.
The victim told police that he met the woman through an ad for dating, not sex, according to news station Q13.
The suspect has not been charged, but is being held on $1 million bail.
