Hannah Jae, 16, is the winner of the "hometown hero" contest to open up for Bon Jovi when the band plays Tampa on Feb. 14. According to Live Nation, thousands of musicians have submitted videos to enter the contest hoping to win a chance to open for Bon Jovi at concerts across the U.S.
You can watch the video Hannah Marsbahis submitted of herself singing an original song that won the competition here.
Hannah isn’t exactly new to performing in front of thousands of fans, though. She recently sang the national anthem at a Buccaneers game on New Year’s Day.
She also has a previous Bon Jovi connection. According to a story in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Bon Jovi sound engineer Obie O’Brien heard the teen’s demo after meeting her at a concert, and went on to work with her on a collection of songs titled Run With It.
