Fax machines are being phased out in recruiting offices of most major college football programs as most coaches favor a more immediate and instantaneous way of learning whether a recruit will be accepting a recruiting offer from their school.

But at least one coach stuck in the past isn’t ready to give up the idea of the beep from his fax announcing another recruiting commitment.

New Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck told the Big Ten Network that he still prefers that most of his recruits send in their commitments in the old-fashioned way by fax.

The question may be, however, how many of these students actually have ever used a fax machine.

But Fleck wants to continue garner his commitments the same way as he always has.

“We have e-mail on backup,” Fleck told the Dumanbet Big Ten Network. “But there is something entertaining on that day for the staff to hear the beep of the fax and wait for the actual fax to come through. Signing Day is a major event for our staff, university and program. And that’s one of those things that brings anticipation into the mix. It brings an old-school aspect to the new age.”

Maybe so. But it seems that Fleck is stuck in the past in an occupation that is requiring its most successful people to be more ready to embrace cutting-edge ways to communicate — for their own Casino siteleri success.
