There is also a proposal to reduce ten ministries and eliminate taxes such as inheritance or patrimony.

MADRID, 19 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Plenary Session of Congress this week will debate and vote on a Vox initiative that breaks down the main fiscal measures defended by training, such as the reduction of VAT, setting two single types of personal income tax, deductions for birth or adoption, and reducing the ministries of 22 to 12.

The presentation of the fiscal recipe of the Santiago Abascal party will be made through a motion resulting from an urgent question that the party’s economic spokesperson in the Lower House, José María Figaredo, addressed to the first vice president and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, due to the tax pressure.

In fact, the motion, which was accessed by Europa Press and which will be debated in this week’s plenary session, aims to denounce the “fiscal pressure that the Government is exerting on the Spanish people”, since the party believes that the State is remains with more than half of the population’s salary via taxes.

The first part of Vox’s plan is about reducing political spending, and specifically about reducing the number of ministries in the Government.

Thus, they want to reduce these departments from 22 to 12, which would be those of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Justice, Defense, Finance, Interior, Development, Education and Culture, Labor and Social Security, Agriculture and Environment, Presidency and Public Administration , Economy, Energy, Industry and Digital Transformation, and Health, Family and Social Services.

But they also want to carry out an audit of the spending carried out by the General State Administration, in order to improve the efficiency of public spending, and reduce unproductive and unnecessary expenses, especially public spending related to the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.

Here the Administration’s subsidy policy would also be reviewed, to eliminate those granted through the Law for the effective equality of women and men and the democratic memory law, as well as others granted to organizations that collaborate with illegal immigration and those that They rely on the defense of the LGTBI collective.

In this section they add a proposal to eliminate subsidies to political parties, unions and employers and promote an audit of the public aid they receive from regional and local administrations.

In VAT, the training wants to reduce the general rate from 21% to 18% and for the reduced rate to go from the current 10% to 8%. Likewise, they propose keeping this tax at 0% until at least the end of 2024 on basic food products, extending to olive and seed oils, pasta, meat and fish.

In parallel, they suggest eliminating this tax on the acquisition of the first habitual residence and reducing it to 4% on children’s and geriatric diapers; pediatric bottles and formula milk; services that require telecare, home help, day and night center or residential care; and children’s and geriatric pharmaceutical products.

Added to this is a request to eliminate “double taxation” that occurs when special taxes are included as a tax base for VAT purposes.

Continuing with taxes, Vox includes in its motion a measure to reduce the state income tax section to two rates, one of 15% for incomes below 70,000 euros and another of 25% for those above, and always applying an exemption of up to 22,000 euros per year regardless of having one or two payers.

The tax would also be reduced by four points for each child. In this way, a family with four children would not pay personal income tax if the income was less than 70,000 euros and would only pay 9% if the income was greater than that figure. In addition, they propose recovering the deduction for rental housing in personal income tax nationwide for tenants of primary residences.

In terms of birth rates, the training proposes increasing the deduction for current birth or adoption, so that it is 1,200 euros for the first child, 1,600 euros for the second, 2,500 for the third and 2,750 for the fourth child onwards.

On the other hand, the parliamentary group proposes permanently reducing the rates of household supplies, specifically, gas, electricity and water to the super-reduced rate of 4%.

Likewise, Vox includes in its plan the suppression of the wealth tax, the inheritance and donation tax and the tax on the increase in value of urban land throughout the national territory, as it involves “unfair, duplicate or disproportionate confiscations “of the heritage of the Spanish.
