The Ministry of Defense has awarded Airbus Helicopters Spain for 69 million euros the framework agreement for the maintenance and acquisition of spare parts for Army helicopters, according to what appears on the State contracting portal and reported by Europa Press.
The contract, negotiated without publicity, “can only be executed by a particular economic operator due to the absence of competition for technical reasons,” the award documentation describes.
Although the estimated value of the contract is 132.8 million euros, the final award of the framework agreement has been closed at 69 million euros.
Airbus Helicopters is a subsidiary of the Airbus group specialized in this type of aircraft and its factories in Europe are located in France (Marignane and Paris), Germany (Kassel and Donauwörth), Hungary (Gyula) and Spain (Albacete).
