They launch offers from the end of this month, as a prelude to the Christmas campaign

MADRID, 19 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The last Friday of November is celebrated, for yet another year, ‘Black Friday’, and the following Monday it is the turn of ‘Cyber Monday’, two days in which many stores offer discounts on all types of products and, although The ‘crown jewels’ are usually electronic devices, such as mobile phones and computers, you can also find offers on fashion items, travel and banking products, among others.

‘Black Friday’ is one of the most anticipated commercial events of the year. Exported from the United States, this tradition marks the beginning of Christmas shopping with deep discounts around ‘Black Friday’, which this year falls on November 24.

Thus, around 44% of the Spanish population will take advantage of that weekend to fulfill the orders of Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men, or renew the wardrobe, appliances or technological devices.

The Spanish tourism sector is preparing a ‘Black Friday’ campaign with discounts of 30% on average on the price of stays, according to eBooking.com forecasts. This means that in 2023, and with travel prices skyrocketing, promotions will be lower than those of the previous year, when the reduction offered by hoteliers and other tourism companies was on average 50%.

Thus, NH Hotel Group, following the pattern announced by eBooking.com, announces discounts of up to 40% for members of its NH Discovery loyalty program and up to 30% for the general public. Palladium Hotel Group and Meliá Hotels are in the same line of discounts, offering opportunities of up to 25% discounts with a maximum of 50% in selected hotels.

This commercial event is equally well received by transport companies, whether rail or air. And both Ouigo and the airlines AirEuropa and Level are joining this wave of discounts.

The high-speed ‘low cost’ company will provide a 20% discount code between November 20 and 27, which will allow all those who want to travel between November 20 to obtain round-trip tickets exclusively through its app. November 2023 and May 31, 2024. For its part, Air Europa offers discounts of up to 25% on its flights with a travel date until May 31, 2024.

However, the Level airline focuses on discounts to enjoy destinations in the United States and Latin America.

Technological products are one of the main attractions of ‘Black Friday’, and this is why many of the companies that are dedicated to this sector are among the first to publish their discounts and promotions.

Such is the case of Amazon, PcComponentes and Media Markt, which have already begun their wave of promotions that will last throughout the month of November.

Discounts on fashion are also the most anticipated, as they serve as a prelude to the January sales. All the big fashion chains are joining ‘Black Friday’, although a little later than the technology brands.

Both El Corte Inglés and Inditex will wait until November 23 to reveal their discounts, but with a difference. The Spanish department stores will already have offers available on the 23rd, while the brands of the textile group owned by Amancio Ortega will wait until the evening to reveal their promotions on their apps and websites, and during the day of the 24th you will be able to enjoy the discounts in physical stores.

For their part, Tendam brands (Women’s secret, Springfield, Cortefiel) have anticipated and have already started their offers, offering 50% on a selection of items and 30% on the rest of the collection exclusively for their partners.

The financial sector also does not want to be left out of this great commercial event, which is why the main banks also launch their offers during ‘Black Friday’.

This is the case, for example, of Banco Santander, which launches an online and in-office financing campaign with discounted prices for more than 6 million individual customers.

EBN Bank, however, focuses its offers on interest rates, giving the “best historical profitability” on its deposits with interest rates that are between 3.35% and 3.6% APR.

Banco Sabadell lowers the prices of its pre-granted loans, while encouraging the sale and use of credit cards. And from November 7 to 30, the entity will reduce the price for pre-selected clients of a loan granted up to a maximum of 60,000 euros.

For its part, BBVA also joins Black Friday and returns 50 euros to all new customers who open an online account and make a purchase with their new card for an amount equal to or greater than 50 euros.
