CHICAGO, October 17, 2023/PRNewswire/ — On October 15, 2023, the International Dairy Federation (IDF) held the election of its Board of Directors on the eve of the “IDF World Dairy Summit 2023” in Chicago. Dr. Yun Zhanyou, vice president of Yili Group, has been elected to the IDF board of directors. This appointment makes Dr. Yun one of three representatives of global dairy companies.
This year marks the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the International Dairy Federation. IDF has played a key role in promoting dairy science and technological innovation around the world and has made substantial contributions to the sustainable development of the global dairy industry. With 39 member countries representing 74% of global milk production, the IDF has unrivaled influence in shaping the future of the industry.
At the heart of the IDF governance structure is the IDF Board of Directors. This influential body, made up of nine industry associations and business representatives from member countries, serves as the main center for research, decision-making and coordination within the FID.
