The Ibex 35 began this Friday’s session with a rise of 0.3%, which has led the selective to stand at 9,457.7 points, with investors’ attention focused on the intervention of the president of the Central Bank European Union (ECB), Christine Lagarde, in Paris.
The markets will also be awaiting the publication of macro data on eurozone inflation, the evolution of the United Kingdom economy, and unemployment and retail sales in Germany.
In the early stages of this session, the biggest rise within the Ibex 35 was recorded by Cellnex (3.42%) after announcing that it had reached an agreement with the American investment firm Stonepeak for the sale of a 49% stake in its Swedish and Danish subsidiaries for an amount of 730 million euros.
On the promotion side, Solaria (2.91%) and Fluidra (1.59%) also stood out, while on the opposite side the most notable ‘red lanterns’ were Repsol (-0.86%) and Banco Santander ( -0.44%).
The main European stock markets also opened this Friday with a positive sign: 0.44% for Frankfurt, 0.41% for Milan, 0.28% for Paris and 0.22% for London.
At the opening of the stock market, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, fell 0.08%, to 93.03 dollars, while Texas stood at 91.69 dollars, a 0.02% less.
In the currency market, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0591 ‘greenbacks’, while the Spanish risk premium was around 107.7 basis points, with the interest required on the 10-year bond at 3.976%.
