SHENZHEN, China, April 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — China Railway Tunnel Group (CRTG) has used “eight intelligent systems” for the construction of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen railway, the underwater tunnel project with the deepest depth and water pressure in China.
During the World Tunneling Congress 2024 (WTC2024), held in Shenzhen from April 19 to 25, engineers, experts and academics from around the world visited CRTG’s tunnel construction site in the Pearl River Estuary Tunnel, to learn about first-hand the “eight intelligent systems” used in the Shenzhen-Jiangmen railway project, carrying out joint research on the important advances of China’s intelligent tunnel construction.
The eight systems include intelligent tunneling, intelligent segment assembly, intelligent coordination, intelligent diagnosis, intelligent monitoring, intelligent component production, intelligent material management and intelligent ventilation. By using such intelligent systems, CRTG has successfully overcome the challenges of the project and ensured its efficient operation.
The Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway, located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, connects the southeastern coastal cities of China, Shenzhen and Jiangmen. The project has a 9,175-meter main tunnel and a 1,160-meter inclined shaft, a geological complexity that poses significant challenges for shield tunnel boring machine construction.
The eight intelligent systems are mainly based on the intelligent control platform that integrates intelligent monitoring, intelligent analysis, collaborative management, auxiliary tunneling, big data analysis and other functions, thereby improving the efficiency and safety of operations. tunnel construction operations.
The intelligent tunneling system, located in the central unit area of ββββthe shield, incorporates advanced technologies such as neural networks, machine learning, predictive algorithms, edge feedback control and emergency fuse control and other technologies that allow proactive prediction of parameters for conditions complex geological conditions, adjusting shield attitude and implementing intelligent manned tunnel operations without intervention, as well as early warning systems for abnormal events.
“As we advance the research and development of smart tunnel construction, we are committed to closing the data gap between construction and operation
WTC2024 coincides with the 50th anniversary of the ITA, which has selected and presented 50 important emblematic projects worldwide, among which 9 are from China and CRTG has participated in 7 of them: the Shamulada Tunnel of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway, the of Dayao Mountain, the Qinling Tunnel of the Xi’an-Ankang Railway, the Xin Guanjiao Tunnel of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the Second Underwater Tunnel of Jiaozhou Bay, Line 14 of the Shenzhen Metro, and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor , etc. This achievement fully demonstrates the great strength of the CRTC and its extraordinary successes in the global tunnel construction sector.
WTC is the most influential conference in the tunneling and underground engineering sector, attracting the attention of engineers and experts from all over the world.
