BT CEO Philip Jansen has informed the British telecommunications operator’s board of directors that he intends to step down “at the right time” over the next 12 months.

In this regard and in anticipation of this circumstance, BT’s board nominations committee has been conducting a formal succession process to replace Jansen in which all suitable candidates are being considered and on whose progress the company expects update over the summer.

“Philip has done an excellent job in his time at BT and the board fully supports our long-term strategy that he and his team are pursuing,” said Adam Crozier, BT Chairman.
