It is expected that in this personal income tax campaign a total of 22.9 million declarations will be presented
MADRID, 29 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The 2022 Income and Wealth Campaign will end this Friday, June 30, although this Thursday the 29th will be the last day to request an appointment for telephone or office assistance, according to the Tax Agency calendar.
In this way, taxpayers already have only two days to prepare the Income Statements corresponding to last year before the end of the Campaign, which started on April 11.
It must be taken into account that in the cases of declarations with results to enter with direct debit into account, the campaign already concluded last Tuesday, June 27.
It is expected that in this personal income tax campaign a total of 22,899,000 returns will be filed, 3.4% more than the previous year. Of this total, 60% of them are expected to be entitled to a refund -13,600,000, 2% less- for an estimated amount of 9,946 million euros.
In total, the Tax Agency plans to enter 16,448 million euros, 5.6% more than the previous year, while the amount to be returned will fall by 2.4%, to 9,946 million.
In addition to filing online through the agency’s website and mobile application, taxpayers less accustomed to new technologies who require personalized assistance also have the ‘We Call You’ plan at their disposal this year since the beginning of May, an alternative to face-to-face assistance in offices.
This Plan started on May 5, with service until the end of the campaign, so that taxpayers less accustomed to new technologies that require personalized assistance will once again have a powerful alternative to face-to-face assistance in branches, being able to speed up the presentation and, with it, the possible return that corresponds.
Once the taxpayer requests an appointment – the request is recommended online or by automatic service at 91 535 73 26, or at 901 12 12 24 – and chooses morning or afternoon hours, the system proposes a day and an hour in which you will receive the call from the Tax Agency.
“In favor of the service’s own agility, it is very convenient for the taxpayer to have the necessary information and documentation available to make the declaration when the Agency calls them,” the agency advises.
In general terms, taxpayers with income exclusively from work up to an amount of 22,000 euros per year are not required. However, this limit is reduced if the income comes from more than one payer (with some exceptions), or also when the payer is not required to withhold and when the income is subject to a fixed rate of withholding. In such cases, the limit is 14,000 euros per year.
As in the previous year, taxpayers who have income from work, capital and economic activities, as well as capital gains (subsidies, prizes and others), with the joint limit of 1,000 euros, together with capital losses of less than 500, will not be required either. euros.
On the other hand, it is recalled that the beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income must present the declaration, in accordance with the regulations that establish the income.
