MADRID, 1 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, has praised the measures he has promoted to “create more and better jobs” and has defended that “reform is not cutting back”, it is “dignifying and protecting the working class”.
This has been stated in a publication on his Twitter profile on the occasion of May 1, International Workers’ Day, in which he has highlighted the labor reform and the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) at 1,080 euros.
Sánchez has also claimed measures such as “revaluing today’s pensions and guaranteeing tomorrow’s” or the promotion of the Vocational Training and Science law as examples of those that his Executive has promoted “to create more and better jobs”. “And all with social peace”, he has celebrated in the publication, in which he has congratulated May 1.
As president of the Socialist International, he has advocated, in a video published by the organization on the same social network, to continue fighting “for the defense of the dignity of all workers in the world.”
“We must have a prominent voice in the defense of decent work and labor rights in the face of the uncertainty posed by challenges such as digitization, which socialists, social democrats and union activists must transform into opportunities for more and better jobs,” he added.
In this sense, he has warned that many labor rights “continue to be threatened by neoliberal and reactionary proposals.” “We must fight to preserve them so that there are no setbacks in a world in crisis and in constant transformation,” she insisted.
