SOPHIA ANTÍPOLIS, France, April 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — BRP Inc. (TSX : DOO) (NASDAQ : DOOO) today inaugurates its first European Design and Innovation Center. Located in Sophia Antipolis, in the south of France, this new center reaffirms the central role that BRP assigns to design and innovation as a driver of growth. We will never stop crossing borders to offer consumers products that make their daily trips easier and allow them to explore new playing fields,” said José Boisjoli, president and CEO of BRP. “We are proud to inaugurate the Sophia Antipolis Design and Innovation Center, our first in Europe, which will allow us to reinforce our knowledge of market dynamics. Nestled between the sea and the mountains, in the heart of a region recognized as a nerve center for research in green technologies, the center will allow BRP to continue attracting the best talents in the world of design to its creative teams.

“BRP’s Design and Innovation team is made up of more than 130 experts from 19 different nationalities. We are able to transform industry paradigms thanks to the creativity generated by sharing ideas and the plurality of perspectives within our team. The arrival of new colleagues rooted in the European ecosystem will only stimulate our exchanges so that we put the full power of design at the service of our consumers and communities on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Denys Lapointe, Head of Design at BRP.

To make this project a reality, BRP relied on the close support of local institutional partners, including the Sophia Antipolis Agglomeration Community and Team Côte D’Azur teams. Throughout its explorations, the company also met several key players in the socioeconomic landscape who helped it better understand the dynamics of innovation in the region.

Nicolas Deluy, with his bicontinental experience, has led the center’s team since December 2022, made up of about 15 experts, including industrial designers, specialists in colours, materials and finishes, as well as a clay modeller, from various countries. In addition to their work on advanced concepts related to sustainable mobility, the team will provide design services to internal BRP partners in Europe and Scandinavia.
