They will distribute more than 1,000 French toasts among visitors and will donate more than 100 of this traditional Easter sweet to the Brotherhood of Soledad for their solidarity breakfasts
BADAJOZ, March 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
El Faro, in Badajoz, will offer a free French toast tasting this Thursday. On the occasion of Holy Week, the shopping center will make more than 1,000 units of this traditional Lenten sweet available to visitors.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. in the El Patio area of the Badajoz venue, a great ‘torrijada’ will be held where lovers of this dessert can savor it in one of its most classic versions: sugar and cinnamon. These torrijas are handmade and will be served until the end of stock.
The ‘torrijada’ from El Faro also includes a supportive flavor. The shopping center will deliver to the Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad more than a hundred French toast so that they can be offered in the daily breakfasts that this corporation has been offering for years in its Soup Kitchen.
It should be remembered that the Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad offers breakfast to all people in need from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday. A group of volunteers from the Brotherhood are in charge of offering these breakfasts, paid for with the entity’s own funds, as well as companies and solidarity institutions.
In this sense, the manager of the El Faro shopping center, Paulo Belchior, has highlighted “the incredible social work carried out by the Brotherhoods that, through their charity, support the work carried out by the different soup kitchens in the city.”
“From El Faro we have always positioned ourselves alongside those entities that work for the benefit of the city and its people.” For this reason, “we believe that the best travel companions are organizations committed to those who need it the most.”
