Antonio López Lázaro, PhD and professor at the UPM, is the CEO of the Euroairlines Group. The Group is made up of the companies LLM Aviation, Flg Aviation, Euroairlines and Eurodistribution. Antonio was recognized with the Aeronautical Innovation award by the Official College of Aeronautical Engineers of Spain. The awarded project was a model to calculate the impact of the costs of the implementation of biofuels in airlines. The project presented was made up of three sub-models: a traffic model that estimates the annual performance of operators on each of their routes; a biofuel model that is responsible for estimating biofuel prices, emissions and regulations (with special attention to blend percentage), and an operating cost model that estimates the operator’s cost structure. The aggregated data allow simulating policies and impacts associated with the corresponding sensitivity analysis of main factors such as: kerosene price, biofuel price, traffic evolution, technology/consumption, type of aircraft, routes, business models, etc.Antonio López Lázaro, Director of Eurodistribution, has announced the start of operations of the Spanish company Eurodistribution in 4 African markets: South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho and Esuatini. Currently the Eurodistribution platform is the fourth inventory distribution platform worldwide. The platform sells airlines, railways, buses and cruise companies.”The start of operations in Africa represents a clear objective for the company to consolidate its expansion and offer our services to transport companies that need our technology to reach more markets and being able to offer its services to passengers from other parts of the world”, says Antonio López Lázaro. As Eurodistribution is a member of IATA, the company is present in 11 markets in America and 15 in Europe and the Middle East. The company provides real or virtual connectivity between its own clients, increasing the networks of its operators of the different means of transport. With this movement, the Euroairlines Group company is positioned in the world ranking of inventory distribution companies with the most offer in terms of connections and distribution in GDS for airlines, rail and bus companies. Allowing these companies to be marketed by travel agencies and end customers in all markets where the Spanish company is present. The company already has customers on the African continent and will continue to open markets in Asia and Africa throughout this year 2023 , according to the words of its CEO.
