The Ibex 35 index of the Madrid Stock Exchange began the session this Monday with an advance of 1.45%, which led the Madrid selective to trade at 8,920.70 points, in line with the strong increases in the rest of the main stock markets of the Old Continent.

In the first minutes of trading in the Plaza de la Lealtad, the representatives of the banking sector in the Ibex 35 led the biggest increases.

Thus, the Sabadell titles advanced 4.26%, ahead of those of Santander and BBVA, which gained 3.59% and 3.16%, respectively.

On its side, Unicaja Banco rose 3.03% and Caixabank 2.92%, while Bankinter shares advanced 2.73%.

Apart from the banking sector, the biggest increases in the Ibex 35 at the opening corresponded to Rovi, with 2.16%, and Grifols, with an increase of 2.07%.

At the opposite end of the selective, Cellnex registered the only fall at the opening, with a decrease of 0.74%, while the least bullish values ​​at the beginning of the day were Merlin Properties, with a rise of 0.33%, and Acciona, with 0.35%.

The rest of the largest European stock markets were also trading with strong gains at the beginning of the session. In this way, the Frankfurt Dax recorded a rise of 1.10% and the Parisian Cac 40 of 1.19%, while the Ftse100 in London rose 0.90%.
