MADRID, 1 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Urbas registered a net profit of 16.6 million euros in 2022, compared to the 60 million euros of profits it obtained in 2021, a year that was affected by extraordinary income of 75 million euros derived from the restructuring process and the takeover of acquired companies.

The company specializing in sustainable infrastructure and building, real estate development and renewable energy has stated that the figures for 2022 “demonstrate the solidity of the results obtained” and are not comparable to those of 2021 “because they only reflect the result of the business, discounting interest , amortizations and taxes, and also not including any atypical income”.

Urbas achieved a record turnover of 305 million euros in 2022, 50% more than in 2021, thanks to “the improvement in operational and financial efficiency generated by the synergies of the new acquisitions, the optimization of costs and the expansion of the perimeter of business”.

Urbas’ gross operating result (Ebitda) also reached a record figure in 2022, with 41 million euros, 58% more than in 2021, the year in which Ebitda was 26 million euros.

“All this reflects the stable and operational growth of the group’s businesses, confirming the profitability of Urbas, the generation of value and the synergies achieved throughout 2022”, the company stressed.

The group reduced its level of debt by 16%, from 239 million in 2021, to 200 million euros in 2022.
