SAN JOSE, California and BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 27, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Supermicro, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI), a total provider of IT solutions for cloud, AI/ML, storage and 5G/Edge, will present its latest generation of systems that accelerate workloads for the entire telecommunications industry, specifically at the edge of the network. These systems are part of Supermicro’s newly introduced line of Intel-based products; Better, faster, greener systems based on brand new 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (formerly codenamed Sapphire Rapids) delivering up to 60% more workload-optimized performance. From a performance standpoint, these new systems demonstrate up to 30x faster AI inference speed on large models for edge and AI workloads with NVIDIA H100 GPUs. In addition, Supermicro systems support the new Intel® Data Center GPU Max series (formerly called Ponte Vecchio) in a wide range of servers. The Intel Data Center GPU Max series packs up to 128 Xe-HPC cores and will accelerate a range of AI, HPC, and visualization workloads. Supermicro X13 AI systems will support next-generation embedded accelerators and up to 700W GPUs from Intel, NVIDIA and others.

Supermicro servers are used for demanding workloads across the IT industry, including 5G workloads at the core, to the edge, and accelerating AI for 5G and IoT application and network optimization .
The advanced thermal architecture and optimized airflow of Supermicro X13 systems allow them to operate in high ambient temperature environments of up to 40°C (104°F) with free air cooling, reducing the infrastructure costs associated with refrigeration and OPEX. Liquid cooling options are also available for many X13 systems and can reduce OPEX by up to 40% compared to standard air conditioning. In addition, Supermicro’s resource-saving architecture for multi-node systems uses shared cooling and power to reduce energy consumption and raw material usage, lowering both TCO and TCE.
In addition, the proprietary design of Titanium Level power supplies ensures higher operating efficiency. As a result, a data center’s PUE can realistically be reduced from an industry average of 1.60 to the 1.05 range.
The Supermicro X13 range of servers, coupled with the latest GPU technology such as NVIDIA H100, A30 and A10 GPUs, or Intel® Data Center GPU Flex or Max series, accelerate data processing at the edge where extremely low latency enabled by 5G is critical. The Supermicro Universal 4U/5U GPU Server containing NVIDIA H100 GPUs is ideal for data center environments that require massive AI performance.
