The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspicious vehicle in a hit-and-run case causing injuries that occurred on December 24, in Ripon, Outaouais.
The hit-and-run happened on Christmas Eve around 10 a.m. on Highway 317 near Robinson Road.
At the scene, officers found a driver with serious head injuries. The latter was taken to a hospital center, although his life was not in danger.
“Debris on site tends to show that there may have been a collision with a heavy vehicle or a cube truck,” the SQ said in a press release. The damage would be located on the driver’s side and the latter would not have stopped following the accident, according to the police force.
Investigators are trying to find witnesses to the collision or people who have surveillance cameras along Highway 317 and who see a truck of this type.
Anyone with information on this event can contact the SQ Criminal Information Center at 1-800-659-4264.
