Forward Max Pacioretty could make his debut with the Carolina Hurricanes very soon, as he took part in training with his team on Tuesday morning, wearing a contact-allowing jersey for the occasion.

The former Montreal Canadiens and Vegas Golden Knights continues his progress, he who suffered a torn Achilles tendon during the last off-season. Acquired from the Knights in July, he resumed training with his teammates about two weeks ago, without however being able to take hits.
Pacioretty has been plagued by injuries for the past few months. He was limited to 39 games in 2021-22, totaling 19 goals and 18 assists for 37 points.
Despite his physical troubles, the American saw the Hurricanes excel on the ice. They occupy the top of the Metropolitan section with 50 points and had an appointment with the Chicago Blackhawks in the evening.
