A vehicle caught fire Monday evening while parked in Montreal North, but the incident caused no injuries.
The call was made to 911 around 11:30 p.m. The vehicle was parked on rue Louis-Francoeur, near avenue rue Alfred, according to SPVM spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils. The fire department was dispatched assistance, but no damage was reported to the neighboring building and no injuries were reported. According to initial information, no trace of accelerant or incendiary object was found. Since the cause is unknown, the investigation was transferred to the criminal section of the SPVM. The vehicle was towed.
