BDO obtained total income of 12,800 million dollars (11,800 million euros) in its fiscal year 2022 (closed on September 30), which represents a year-on-year growth of 12.8% compared to the previous year, as reported by the firm. global professional services.
During this year, it has registered an increase in the number of employees of 14.4%, which translates into a total of 111,305 professionals spread over 1,803 offices in 164 countries around the world.
As for the business areas, audit and assurance services remain BDO’s main services, representing 42% of the total business.
For their part, tax and legal services, as well as advisory services have accounted for 22% of global turnover during 2022, while outsourcing services (BSO) have represented 14% of revenue.
By region, America has been the one that has grown the most, with an increase in revenue of 14.5%. Specifically, BDO has registered a growth of almost 25% in the United States.
In Asia-Pacific, while most markets have performed very well, China has experienced temporarily flat growth due to the challenges posed by the health crisis and the resulting restrictions.
In EMEA, especially in Europe, growth has been affected by geopolitical conflicts.
The Spanish market has performed positively, in line with previous years, and the British and German markets have registered stable and solid growth.
France, Norway and Israel have also recorded growth due to the firm’s strategic approach, which has led to greater confidence in these markets.
