MADRID, 12 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Government has published this Saturday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) the first call for the Digital Generation SMEs program, endowed with 356 million euros to promote digital training and the adoption of technologies in the field of SMEs.

This initiative, led by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, aims to train a total of almost 95,000 SME managers and 33,000 change agents who are experts in digital transformation. Digital Generation SMEs is articulated in two training itineraries, Cultural Change in SMEs and Agents of Change.

With these projects, the aim in these first calls is to offer the necessary knowledge and skills to promote the digital transformation of their companies, reduce the digital divide due to gender issues, provide the business fabric with talent, show how technology impacts business, allowing place the customer at the center to provide solutions to their needs and offer future “agents of change” the knowledge and skills necessary for their incorporation or requalification in the labor market.

The aid of this call, in the form of a subsidy, is aimed at Reference Training Entities in Spain, which will be in charge of delivering the training program throughout the national territory.

The EOI Foundation will be in charge of managing the planned investment for this initiative, which in its first call amounts to 199 million euros, 147.5 million for “Generation Digital SMEs” and 51.5 million for “Generation Digital Agents of Change” ), from European funds.

Applications to be a Training Entity can be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the EOI Foundation and the term will remain open for a month from this Saturday.

This call for aid is contemplated within Component 19, “National Plan for Digital Capabilities”, of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which has a global allocation of 3,593 million euros and the objective of guaranteeing the training and digital inclusion of the citizens and workers, leaving no one behind in the process of digital transformation of society and the economy.
