However, taking into account the large number of advantages offered by this innovative accident prevention system and the great step towards road safety that the use of these devices entails, it is estimated that Spanish drivers will begin to use these connected beacons much before the mandatory use date. In the event of a breakdown or accident, it will send a distress signal to the relevant authorities who, in turn, will inform the rest of the drivers on the road and the emergency services, informing them of the location of the vehicle. The activation of this device depends on the model to be used, but in the case of the connected PF Led One v16 beacon, it can be activated with a simple turn of the housing. Once lit, the car window is opened and placed on the roof. At the same time that the light comes on, connectivity is activated, informing the relevant authorities of the location of the car, in order to notify roadside assistance systems, and inform other drivers through information panels.
