RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Oct. 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The visionary sixth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) has concluded today with more than 28 investment agreements and deals, totaling more than $9 billion.

The FII Institute has signed an agreement with the Oxford Union that will provide union members with key data and information produced by the FII Institute and its partners. The agreement was signed by FII Institute THINK Director Safiye Kucukkaraca and Oxford Union Development Council Chairman Michael Li.

On the last day of the three-day conference, a summit entitled “An African Future” was held, at which ministers, investors and entrepreneurs from across Africa and beyond came together to discuss areas of investment in the region. The summit focused on investment potential in Africa, noting that tech startups in the region received investments totaling $1 million every hour last year. The discussions concluded with the agreement that the level of investment in Africa is going to grow and will require improved infrastructure and policy to support its development.

The three-day conference hosted more than 400 speakers and 6,000 delegates, who engaged in in-depth discussions on the most pressing investment challenges around sovereign wealth funds, megacities, sustainability, gender equality and energy, among others. The event was attended by some of the best known names in the field of politics and investment.

Representatives from 16 leading institutions and several global management consultancies have partnered with the 6th edition of FII to offer their insights on some real world topics such as sustainable development and building resilient energy systems, cryptocurrencies and the fintech ecosystem, the Metaverse, the use of artificial intelligence to fight climate change, the connection between technology and culture, and the ever-changing tourism sector. Additionally, 11 technology developers partnered with FII to showcase their latest innovations and solutions aimed at creating a more sustainable and equitable future.

Ten regional and global media partners were present at the event, and more than 270 media representatives and journalists from around the world attend FII to cover exclusive event sessions, talks, deals and announcements, as well as enough to join the conversations about the New Global Order.
