Ten buses had their catalyst removed overnight from Wednesday to Thursday in Sherbrooke, Estrie, a theft and damage estimated at $50,000.

The suspects breached the fence to gain access to buses that were parked at 3001 King Street East, the Sherbrooke Police Department said.

An investigation is underway to locate the suspect(s).

“With the vacation period beginning for many, we remind you to secure your business courses during the less busy period,” said the police department on Friday.

It is also recommended to have a well-lit parking lot and to ensure that the alarm systems and surveillance cameras are in operation.
