“Faced with exceptional and sustained traffic in the five emergency rooms of the CHU, we are asking for the help of the population to alleviate this traffic and allow us to provide emergency services to patients in need of urgent care”, urged the CHU de Québec on Facebook.

The emergency rooms concerned by this critical situation are those of the CHUL, the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, the Hôpital du Saint-Sacrement, the Hôpital-Dieu de Québec, the Hôpital Saint- Francis of Assisi and the Soleil Mother-Child Centre.

The administration of the CHU de Québec asks the population to avoid emergency services as much as possible and to only go there for urgent care, which would relieve them a little.
