A 24-year-old man from Gatineau who caused a swerve while driving while impaired causing injury will have to explain himself in court next October.
Police officers from the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais were notified by a citizen of rue Galène of an accident that occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Chemin de la Mine.
The swerve took place in a curve after the loss of control involving a rollover of the new Honda Civic vehicle, the police said.
The 22-year-old passenger, originally from Gatineau, was taken to a hospital to treat minor injuries.
The driver who refused to take the alcohol test had his driving license suspended and his vehicle seized, pending his appearance in court, it was added.
