A new investment fund intended to help SMEs in the aerospace sector was launched on Tuesday and will benefit from an investment of $ 30 million from the Quebec government.

The Partners Thrust Capital fund has an initial capital of $77 million and aims to reach a capitalization of $100 million.

In addition to the government, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, the Mouvement Desjardins and private investors are among the other partners in the initiative.

“Investments will be made in SMEs so that they can become important players in global aerospace supply chains, particularly in the commercial and business aviation sectors as well as in defence, the helicopter as well as industries with high growth potential such as those related to drones and the space sector, ”we explained in a press release.
