The agreement, the financial details of which have not yet been disclosed, is two-fold.
In 2021-22, Rosen spent the majority of his time, or 40 games, with the Springfield Thunderbirds, but he also played in 18 games with the Blues, collecting seven points. He also appeared in nine playoff games, not shading the scoresheet once.
It was he who collided with Nazem Kadri, of the Colorado Avalanche, before falling on his goalkeeper Jordan Binnington and injuring him.
Rosen was demoted to the American League after the Blues were eliminated in six games.
The Thunderbirds, second in the Atlantic Division by virtue of a 43-24-6-3 record, first eliminated the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, before playing the same trick on the Charlotte Checkers each time in three games, to join the Rocket at this stage of the playoffs.
This best-of-seven series will begin with two games in Springfield, Saturday and Sunday, before heading to Laval for, potentially, three games. A place in the American League final is at stake.
