The prices of used vehicles in Quebec have increased by 43% in one year, according to the latest data collected by the Autohebdo sales platform.

The average price of a used vehicle in the province thus rose from $24,574 in April 2021 to $35,137 in April 2022. Quebec is the province with the strongest price growth in the country.
Even though prices seem to have increased “faster than usual in Quebec”, they remain below the national average which is $37,768, however, Autohebdo noted in its report.
“Although inventory levels have started to rise in the province [over the past few months], Quebec is still not seeing a year-over-year increase in vehicle inventories, compared to more populated regions. such as Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia”, it was also specified.
The prices of new vehicles, for their part, increased by 16% in Quebec between April 2021 and April 2022, going from $41,501 to $48,124.
The price index published by Autohebdo also reveals that across the country, the average price of $37,768 for a used vehicle is the highest ever recorded to date. The average price of a new vehicle in Canada also increased, by 17%, compared to the previous year, exceeding $53,000 for the first time.
