Swedish defender Oliver Ekman-Larsson suffered a broken foot during the World Hockey Championship.

His National Hockey League team, the Vancouver Canucks, made the announcement on Twitter on Saturday. His recovery period is estimated at four to six weeks.
Ekman-Larsson and Sweden collapsed in the quarter-finals against Canada. The 30-year-old guard had two assists in six games during the tournament.
In his first season with the Canucks, Ekman-Larsson scored five goals and had 24 assists in 79 games. He didn’t reach the 30-point plateau for the first time in his career when playing at least 50 games.
The former Arizona Coyotes will earn an average of $8.25 million a year until 2027.
