A teenager ends up in hospital after falling 40 feet (12 meters) from the edge of a cliff in Glace Bay in the Cape Breton region of Nova Scotia.

According to Glace Bay Police Chief John Chant, a call was made around 5 p.m. Tuesday, CTV News reported.
It would have taken between four and six hours before the 16-year-old was found, said Mr Chant, adding that the authorities had to use special equipment and specialized teams to bring the victim back to dry land. .
“He suffered a lot last night. He broke both feet. He has a rod placed in his spine,” said the victim’s father, Billy Cameron. His son, who is also called Billy, being hospitalized in Halifax, it is his wife who is at his bedside.
Billy Cameron urges people to be vigilant when walking around the edges of the cliffs. “People please stay away from the edge of these cliffs, you don’t know how dangerous they are,” he said, adding that he had seen coastguards searching for people many times. fallen into the water.
