Shots were fired near two daycare centers in the Rivière-des-Prairies area of ​​Montreal on Tuesday evening.

A call was received at 911 around 5:30 p.m. to report explosions at the corner of André-Ampère and Charles-Renard avenues.

When the police arrived, they did not notice either victim or suspect, but shell casing impacts on a business and a vehicle, said spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Comtois.

No one appears to have been injured in this incident.

The scene was protected by a security perimeter to allow investigators and a forensic identification technician to analyze it, in order to try to better understand the circumstances of this shooting.
