The Southern Hills course did not favor the American, who hit the ball 79 times (9). With a total of 222 (12), he ranks 76th and last among golfers who survived the ax the day before.

Woods only recorded a birdie, on the par-4 of the 15th pennant, which somewhat softened a disastrous start to the round. The “Tiger” committed a double bogey on the sixth hole, and seven other bogeys, including five consecutive between the ninth and 13th green.

On Friday, the 46-year-old had shown progress shooting 69 (-1), rebounding from an initial round of 74 strikes (4).

It was also difficult for the only Canadian still in contention. Adam Hadwin also had his worst day with a card of 75 (5). The Saskatchewanian was provisionally 72nd, under a cumulative of 9.
