Following the European Commission’s decision to award it the 18 flight slots sold by Air France to Orly, Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will be able to launch 32 new routes from November.

Following the decision of the European Commission in the context of the Covid-19 recapitalization of Air France and the Air France – KLM Holding Group, the Spanish low cost has announced its new flight program at Paris-Orly airport.
As of November 2, 2021, it will add 32 new direct routes to 10 countries to add to the 20 already established at the Paris airport – a total of 52 routes, 4 of which are awaiting confirmation. In addition to strengthening connections to Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and Denmark, Vueling is launching direct connections to Germany, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Morocco and Malta for the first time. Flights to Europe and America with Vueling
Launched in 2004, Vueling Airlines is a Spanish low cost airline belonging to the IAG group (British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Level). In France, it offers 66 routes from 12 airports: Bastia, Bordeaux, Brest, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Basel-Mulhouse, Rennes and Toulouse, as well as Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly. The first airline in number of passengers transported between France and Spain, it also flies to many European and Mediterranean destinations. Since April 2017, Vueling Airlines has been marketing the flights of Level, the new low-cost long-haul airline of the IAG group, which serves Los Angeles, San Francisco (Oakland Airport), Punta Cana and Buenos Aires.
Vueling to Orly
If you need to board a Vueling flight from Paris, you will have to go to Roissy Airport or Orly Airport, the latter remaining Vueling’s main base in France. At Orly Airport, located 14 km from Paris, Vueling operates from the west terminal. To board, go to hall 1, except for the flight to Casablanca, which departs in hall 3. From Orly, the company serves many Spanish destinations (Alicante, Arrecife, Barcelona, Bilbao, Catania, Ibiza, Fuerteventura…) and European (Copenhagen, Florence, Lisbon, Porto, Prague, Venice …). At Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, located 25 km northeast of Paris, Vueling operates from Terminal 3. It serves a dozen destinations including Bari, Fuerteventura, Naples, Vienna and Tangier.
Vueling in Nantes, Rennes and Lyon
Outside Paris, Vueling takes off from 10 French airports, including Nantes. From Nantes-Atlantique, Vueling provides direct flights to Spain (the Canary Islands, in particular) and Italy. But it also offers flights with stopovers to other European and Mediterranean cities. From Rennes airport, in Brittany, Vueling flies direct to Barcelona, Mallorca and Rome, and with stopovers to several other destinations. In Lyon-Saint Exupéry, Vueling operates from terminal 1A. It serves Barcelona, Mallorca, Malaga, Rome and Seville. The low cost is also present in the airports of Bastia, Bordeaux, Brest, Lille, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse.

Before boarding your flight, you must check in. Vueling advises online registration. Free of charge, this procedure allows you to confirm your seat (free random placement, or choice of seat with an additional fee) and to obtain your boarding pass (to print and /or download on your mobile) that you must present on the day of your trip in order to board. At Vueling, check-in is available between 7 days and 4 hours before the flight. At the airport, you will save time since you will only have to present yourself at security checks and then at boarding if you do not have checked baggage, or at the baggage drop-off if you have any. Barcelona, Rome-Fiumicino and Paris-Orly airports have a “baggage drop” counter where you can drop off your luggage if you have already checked in online. However, check on the website of your departure airport that online check-in is accepted. Otherwise, you can always check in free of charge at the Vueling counter at the airport.
Your Vueling flight
Once you have made your reservation, you can always change your flight (choice of seat, insurance, personal data, adding suitcases…). Be aware that you can change the date or time of your flight up to 1 hour before takeoff. If this option is free with the Excellence rate, it is paid for the Basic and Optima rates. It will cost you 50 euros per passenger per way, to which it will be necessary to add the possible difference in fare. In addition, in the event of a strike or other disruption, you can also track the status of your flight in direct time via the “flight status” module.
