[Updated on June 23, 2021 at 16: 48] To travel in Europe, it is not necessary to justify the reason for its travel. From 1 July, the health passport will be recognised for internal travel within the European area, in the form of a European certificate. For its part, Italy activated the implementation of the dedicated platform on June 17. This “green” certificate may include proof of vaccination, a negative test result or proof of Covid recovery of less than 6 months. If you are not vaccinated, you will then have to present a negative PCR test of less than 48 hours or an antigen test at the time of boarding.
Since May 15, 2021, Italy has abolished quarantine for French travelers. To spend a weekend or holiday in Rome, Venice, Puglia or elsewhere, it is now enough to present the negative result of a molecular (PCR) or antigenic test carried out less than 48 hours before the trip, and to report upon arrival to the regional health authority.
