Brussels has since appeared on Friday in the dark orange on the map epidemiological of the european Centre prevention and control (ECDC). The region has in fact crossed the threshold of 60 new cases of coronavirus for 100.000 inhabitants, in two weeks, the period of 27 July to 9 August.
The capital city has joined the Flanders, classified as dark orange since 6 August. To the north of the country, the number of new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 population in 14 days is still above 60 and below 120. Wallonia is in light orange, with between 20 and 60 infections per 100,000 inhabitants over the same period.
