The number of bicycles on-board trains has increased by 80 % in July compared to the same month of the past summer. To cope with this influx, the SNCB increasing its capacity and introducing new rules.
in Early June, the government decided to make free access for bikes on trains from 1 July to 31 December. A measure that has aroused the enthusiasm of cyclists and resulted in a significant increase of two-wheels in the cars.
