The law which would decriminalise completely the ABORTION is returned to Parliament on Wednesday, after three references to the Council of State, intended by the opponents of the text. As a reminder, the draft law provides for an extension of time for termination of pregnancy from 12 to 18 weeks and a period of reflection required from six to two days.

The CD&V, N-VA and Vlaams Belang have tabled three amendments and requested the return of the abortion law a fourth time to the State Council. It was necessary to collect 50 votes to support their application -they are, in principle, 54-, the three parties obtained the postponement of the debate and vote in September.
