The German government and Lufthansa, parent company of Brussels Airlines, are very close to an agreement to save the first group of european air transport, leaded by the impact of the new coronavirus, announced on Wednesday evening the German chancellor Angela Merkel.

“The government is conducting intensive discussions with the company and the european Commission, a decision is expected shortly but I can not give details on the ongoing discussions,” said Ms. Merkel during a press conference in Berlin about this plan, that might lead to a nationalisation of part of the company.
