Slovenian President Borut Pahor must be on his way to a weiterenAmtszeit probably in runoff. The absence of AbsolutenMehrheit comes as a surprise: last polls before election had Pahor a probable victory already in ErstenRunde forecast. Slovenian television had already reported that Pahor was re-elected for a second term in course of present.

About 1.7 million voters were able to choose between four candidates and five contestants on Sunday. The turnout was only 42 percent, waseinen new negative record and a significant decline in comparison to last elections five years ago (48 percent).
